woke up really early 5am. thinking about the show tonight.
out comes the guitar to work on various chord progressions, and new voicings for l.o.v.e. couldn’t fall back to sleep, 7am, a nice breakfast (sausage,eggs, beans, peaches, coffee, oj)…loadin at 1pm…work out pedal board speghetti…sound check sounds good…andy + julian join us for ‘childrens’ poem, and ‘uh uh’…beautiful…the loop for ‘rant’ isn’t working today, so we quickly recruit julian for the line…i trigger his foot (switch) for the live show…k7 is in the house, as is marc mac (4 hero)…
we get on very late at jazzcafe after having to completely reset and recheck everything before we play…the show is magic…our first showing of the new material as trio, after sundays’ painted bride full band showing in philadelphia…people love the show…it works in all it’s glorious dynamics…i initially had problems before playing, after the ac adaptor that powers my preamp, ‘melts’…and dies. luckily, i had a line 6 adaptor that was the same voltage, and works fine…the show happens….
