hamburg nh room 251

everything goes smooth at cologne airport – no xcess baggage fees today…what a relief. so, a wonderful travel day is had.  arrive in hamburg at 130 to nh hotel ( a real hotel..yea!) we actually have some time before soundcheck today.  lunch at a bistro (pizza, bruchetta, mozzerella)  soundcheck is great…we sign autographs when we arrive for some waiting fans…fabrik is an amazing space and design but a little difficult getting ursulas vocals to fit on top…finally work that out after adding a 3rd monitor for her…gintas programmed rhodes loop in rant…now that is slammin…show was good…packed in audience…weird sound though initially…it gets better as show continues…we do three encores tonight…circe, supa sista, song for billy…dinner afterwards…falafel at turkish rest with andy and katja..met rudi at titanic bar for 2 guiness…then collapsing to sleep.  maintenance day tomorrow…90 min massage, steam, sauna…then a visit to our booking agent…his office complete with a 1959? mellotron, a vox jaguar, and a string machine…how cool is that?  dinner later a nil…steak, green beans, salad, red wine…9pm. it should have been filmed like “dinner for five” (but) discussing music and industry…great time…but was folding by 11pm…we left at 1230…straight to bed…early check out at 9am…
