the hut, philly
at king britt’s studio for the last two days…cutting guitars for the “what are you afraid of” remix for the band ‘west indian girl’ from california for astralwerks. the band is named after a high powered strain of LSD from the sixties…so there music is like you might expect trippy but beautiful. our remix of ‘what are you afraid of’ is even more trippy, experimental, and heavy at the
same time. it’s gonna be a hot remix!!! final mix in a week or so. re-mastered two tracks off of sister gertrude…they came out so much better this time around. so that album is finished and sent off to ropeadope….also, working on the ‘dali projeckt’ which i am composing music along with violinist gloria justen. we’re working with video artist ricardo riveria (klip collective, W hotels) and dancer/choreographer danielle strawmier as well…gonna be amazing, and of course very trippy. show is friday april 1st at the philadelphia art museum.
