the last two days were spent mostly at wxpn and world cafe live. sister gertrude morgan experience (live band + live visuals) played for a national noontime broadcast on wxpn, david dye’s world cafe interview with king + myself (broadcast date jan 13 2006) as well as the katrina benefit on saturday nite there, at world cafe live.
over 500 folks made it out to this amazing nite for philadelphia. i played with ursula rucker + gintus janusonis (drums), as well as Sister G later that night…from my perspective one of the finest collections of philly musicians on stage with the sister…it was a joy to play the music and even get to let the guitar fly…sister allows me to fly…everyone involved killed it….king britt (many props!!!),,,
